About this Speaker
Mr Say Kwee Neng joined Tsao Foundation in 2021 as its Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Say brings extensive strategy, sales, and general management experience across key leadership positions in the private sector to his first foray into the eldercare industry. Inspired by the Foundation’s achievements in pioneering innovative approaches to ageing and eldercare across a range of disciplines for successful ageing and ageing in the community, coupled by recent personal events, Mr Say is excited to spearhead its transformation work to be an organisation that is future ready.
Before Tsao Foundation, he was with the Sime Darby Group for 15 years. He was the Managing Director of Sime Darby Kia in Taiwan, Sime Darby Motor Holdings in Singapore and Vietnam, Performance Motors in Singapore, and Vantage Automotive Limited. During his career with the Sime Darby Group, he was instrumental in advancing the company’s retail, distribution and manufacturing businesses in Singapore, Vietnam and Taiwan.
Mr Say’s track record of successfully building businesses, brands and most importantly, people, have earned him coveted industry accolades. These include being awarded the prestigious Golden Merchant’s Award for Outstanding Foreign Company (Kia Taiwan) in 2017 by the General Chamber of Commerce of China in Taiwan – merely the third time in 7 decades that this award was presented to an automotive executive. In 2011, Mr Say bagged the BMW Managing Director Award for excellence and outstanding achievements by BMW Asia, for leading the business and BMW brand to be the Number 1 selling brand in Singapore, a world first.
As a C-suite and industry leader, his opinion is often sought by local media.
Mr Say graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Economics from the Monash University of Australia. When he is not transforming businesses and brands, he is an avid movie buff and enjoys golf and jogging. He counts his family as his most important blessings in life.
