Mr. Chen has a professional background in social work and serves in the health system. He is good at cross-professional integration and is committed to applying social design and service design to public policy and innovative services in New Taipei City. New Taipei City is the largest city in Taiwan, with a population of 4 million and more than 600,000 senior citizens. It also has urban areas and remote rural areas, which brings great challenges for policy. Facing the challenge of the rapid aging of the population, New Taipei City Government has planned new policy” Health Exercise Living Initiative” as the infrastructure for the future of aged society. The new policy attempts to reshape the new life styles of the elderly in Taiwan, integrate medical care and social care with technology, and also plan and design innovative facilities that meet the needs of future health care.
